Reset the Pop-up Guard counter
The Pop-up Guard button on the
MSN Toolbar
shows the number of pop-up windows that have been blocked since the MSN Toolbar
was installed or since it was last reset.
For example, the Pop-up Guard button may read Pop-ups Blocked (64).
This number appears on the button only when the Pop-up Guard is turned on.
To reset the counter:
- Click the
to
the right of the Pop-up Guard menu.
- Click Reset Pop-up Counter.
The Pop-up Guard button should display Pop-ups Blocked (0).
Notes
- Once the number of blocked pop-ups reaches 1,000, the counter will automatically reset.
For example, when the Pop-up Guard button reads Pop-ups Blocked (999),
after the next blocked pop-up the button will read Pop-ups Blocked (1).
- Blocked pop-up windows do not take up memory or disk space on your computer, because they are not stored on your computer.
