The Pop-up Guard may not work correctly with some versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer in combination with certain versions of Microsoft Windows. The Pop-up Guard may appear unavailable, or may seem to not work at all. To resolve this:

• Make sure that your computer meets the software requirements. See Check that your computer meets Pop-up Guard software requirements.
• Upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0 or later. To install the latest version, go to the Internet Explorer website.

The Pop-up Guard prevents most pop-up windows from appearing, but not all. Pop-up windows appear when:

• You perform an action (like clicking a link) that opens a pop-up window.
• The pop-up comes from a secure website (the web address begins with https://).
• The pop-up comes from a website on your allow list.
